ABOUT

Dorothy So is a journalist and editor who eats too much and sleeps too little.

She started her career as a food writer for HK Magazine and went on to become the food & drinks editor for Time Out Hong Kong, where she made it her mission to find the best sandwich in the city. Dorothy is also a pop culture nerd. In 2012, she took on the role of entertainment editor at Bauer Media, where she oversaw all content related to films, television and music. She returned to Time Out Hong Kong as editor-in-chief and managed all English content while spearheading the launch of Time Out Group’s first Cantonese edition.

Dorothy now freelances in between sandwiches and coffee. Her work has appeared in Fodor's Travel Guides, Condé Nast Traveler, The Guardian, South China Morning Post, Tatler, Tasting Kitchen and other publications. She has also worked with clients such as Art Basel, Alibaba Group, Cathay Pacific, CNN Create, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Intel, Lazada, M+, Sotheby’s, Tencent and W Hotels.

Dorothy holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York.
